Overview
Pool chlorination products and shock treatments can irritate skin, eyes, and the GI tract in pets, especially in concentrated forms. Curious pets may lick granules or drink from recently treated standing water. Symptoms range from mild drooling to more significant vomiting and respiratory irritation. Quick rinsing and early triage reduce complications.
