Overview
These drugs lower heart rate and blood pressure. Ingestion of even a small human dose can be clinically significant for a small pet, with weakness, collapse, or breathing difficulty.
Symptoms
Lethargy, slow heart rate, fainting, vomiting, breathing difficulty
Typical onset
30 minutes–6 hours
Formulations
Extended-release tablets may release over many hours.
