Routine surgery for planned procedures

Routine surgery is for procedures you can plan: spay and neuter, elective mass removal, and other soft-tissue operations that are not urgent. You do not need a referral or a scheduled appointment to discuss surgery. Walk in during open hours and we will examine your pet, explain whether surgery is appropriate, and provide a written estimate before we proceed.

Many routine procedures can be performed within days, not weeks. If your pet is injured, in severe pain, or cannot wait, see our urgent surgery service instead.

Our veterinarians have completed thousands of procedures. These are the planned surgeries pet owners in the Salt Lake Valley most often need:

• Spay (ovariohysterectomy) and neuter (castration) for dogs and cats
• Elective mass, lump, and tumor removal
• Hernia repair, cherry eye repair, and selected planned soft-tissue procedures

Surgery should not come with surprise bills. Before we schedule or perform a procedure, you receive a clear estimate that covers anesthesia, monitoring, the operation, pain medications, and routine post-operative care.

As a locally owned, doctor-led hospital, our recommendations are driven by what your pet needs—not corporate procedure quotas. We accept major payment methods and offer financing options for larger procedures.

We tailor anesthesia to your pet’s health status and the procedure planned, with monitoring before, during, and after surgery. Pain management starts before recovery and continues through written discharge instructions you can follow at home.

Because we are open 11 AM – 11 PM daily, you have access to our team during recovery if concerns arise—not just a voicemail until Monday.
